At Cleveland Hill Primary School, we believe that a positive learning environment is built on mutual respect, responsibility, and discipline. Our rules and regulations are designed to promote safety, academic excellence, and Christian values while helping every learner develop good character. We encourage all pupils, parents, guardians, and staff to read and observe these guidelines as we work together to create a supportive and inspiring school community.
SCHOOL RULES AND REGULATIONS:
The official language is English.
The time to arrive in the morning for P.1-P.7 is 7:00a.m. And the rest 7:30a.m. Late coming is a serious crime and may lead to suspension /dismissal from school.
Throwing stones or any objects other than a ball while playing, using dirty language, abusing, quarrelling and fighting are completely FORBIDDEN.
Children have to stand up when a teacher or a visitor comes in the classroom for the first time in the morning and in the afternoon. They must also respect school property, school compound, trees and flowers.
Pupils should respect elder visitors who come to school. Likewise, parents and teachers should trust and respect each other. In case of a misunderstanding arising between a parent and a member of staff, it should be sorted out amicably. Use of unbecoming, rude or threatening language towards staff may lead to serious disciplinary action.
Parents MUST keep their children smart in every way i.e. full school uniform, Black shoes properly polished, hair properly kept No perm, curl cut or French cut. Children who are not smart will be turned away. Pupils must be hygienically sound and must have a clean hankie every day.
Pupils must take studies seriously. Any pupil who fails to attain the minimum academic standard at the end of the TERM with out good reasons, may be demoted or discontinued from school.
Unnecessary Shouting, noise making, running on staircases and verandahs within the school are strictly prohibited.
Any pupil who is absent from school must present an explanation in writing from the parent on the day he/she reports to school again.
Children of P.1 up to P.7 MUST have lunch at school.
All children must keep the school premises clean and tidy.
Must be promptly paid and in any case before the term starts. Late payment may lead to either payment of a fine on top of fees or discontinuation of a pupil.
This must be properly followed up. No boarder child will be visited/collected from school without presentation of this card.
Failure to comply with any of the above rules, the child shall be suspended or dismissed with or without warning.
